Harper Keilani made her entrance into this world
on September 5th at 10:05 am
Weighing in at 8 lbs 5 oz and measuring 20 inches long.
We had a scheduled c-section due to her being in the breech position.
The night before the Duggers flew into town.
We enjoyed some local St. Louis pizza that John had shipped just for them.
Finley was excited to see Nana and Poppy,
running around like crazy
even attempting to climb on her play kitchen set
and have it topple over on her- luckily no injuries.
I'm guessing she knew a big change was coming...
After a restless night... with much anticipation brewing...
John and I headed to the hospital bright and early.
Everything went smoothly from here on out...
it wasn't long before I was taken to the OR
This time around everything seemed to happen a lot quicker.
They gave me the spinal, then John came in...
and before we knew it... our baby was here.
They let John announce the sex, which was such a great moment.
We were both in shock when he tearfully said
"It's another girl!"
I was convinced I was having a boy.
We didn't even finalize our girl name until the car ride to the hospital.
We instantly had happy tears streaming down our face.
Since I wasn't able to move at this point.
John got to meet our little girl
cut the cord and take her first pictures.
I could hear that Harper had a very healthy set of lungs.
I was taken back to the room and finally got to hold our newest little angel.
Another one of the most beautiful moments of my life.
The rest of the day Harper spent meeting her many family members.
Including her big sister.
We are so blessed to have these two beautiful little girls in our life.
We can't wait to watch them grow up together and to form that unbreakable sister bond.
Welcome to this world, Harper Keilani!
We are so blessed to have you join our family.
We love you!
I'm having trouble figuring out how to export the slideshow from iPhoto
I think I did it... but I'm not sure how to link it so you can view the larger photos.
I'll keep trying!
