It's been a busy summer... full of visitors!
Back in mid June, Nanna and Poppy came to visit!
We were so happy to have them in town.
We closed on our house on Thursday June 9th and were able to celebrate
with Nanna and Poppy that night!
It was so great that we could share the happiness with them
and were able to show them our new home.
During their visit we ate lots of delicious food....
starting off with pizza, salad, and garlic bread from Mama Mia's.
The next day we took them to Sobelman's Pub which has
one of the best burgers in Milwaukee.... I think we all agreed with this statement!
Then off to the Miller Brewery Tour we went where we enjoyed
some free brews after the tour.
Finley also had her first sushi experience at Fujiyama that night
ok... she didn't have sushi but she did have their tofu and loved it.
The next day we relaxed and enjoyed our time together before
heading to Miller Park for the Brewers vs. Cardinals game.
The weather was a bit cool but we still enjoyed ourselves.
John was the master on the grill as usual, cooking up some
delicious brats on pretzel buns for everyone.
Finley hung out in the back of the trunk all snuggled up for most of it...
She wasn't her normal happy self... she wasn't fussy...just not really smiling
She snuggled with Nanna for most of the game.
When we got home, we noticed Finley felt very warm...
and sure enough she had her first fever.
What a trooper she was during the game.
By morning the fever was gone and we found out the next day
she had a little sore throat that was probably causing the fever
thankfully nothing worse.
It was a great weekend with Nanna and Poppy.
We loved spending so much time with them and Finley did too.
She loves her Nanna and Poppy very much!!
Thanks so much for making the long trip up here!
We love you!
